Which button is safe?
Use the first control the window has: X in the top right, X in the top left, Close, then Cancel. A word can be a button or an underlined link. Each window has at least one safe exit.
Why did I lose?
Open popups use RAM. Fill it and the computer blue-screens. That blue screen is also your results card. Ordinary campaign levels have no deadline: clear all their scheduled windows to win.
Do I need upgrades to win?
Upgrades give you breathing room. RAM holds more windows, the CPU spaces out scheduled arrivals, and storage lets you install more software. Earn credits by playing and spend them in the Parts Counter. No real-money purchases.
How do I pause?
Use the desktop's Start menu or press Esc on a keyboard. The game covers the desktop while paused.
What are the arcade modes?
Uptime keeps the popups coming. Clear the Desk starts with twelve windows and records how quickly you clear them. Neither mode has a clock that kills you.
Reporting a problem in the alpha
Use the channel where you received your test build. Include your device, build version, the level and what you tapped. A screenshot helps identify an unfair or unclear window.
